We can all learn from this story.
On a very hot day this past summer, I was out running some errands. As I turned left onto Roe Ford off of Green Valley, I couldn't help but notice there were two people on each side of the road with large trash bags picking up trash along the side of the road. As I drove by, I thought, "Isn't that nice...somebody is out there in the heat picking up trash."
I went about runnning my errands, and upon returning, I noticed the couple was still there picking up the trash. I felt guilty because I drove by that same trash many times, but never thought about taking the time to pick up trash.
It wasn't until I got closer, that I recognized the people as some long-time residents of Green Valley, Vince and Nancy LeDonne.
I just thought they should be recognized for their unselfish efforts. It's what makes Green Valley a special place to live.
